Our Beijing and
Shanghai Impressions program features an incredible journey to
two of China’s most fascinating tourist destinations. This tour is
designed for travelers with limited time, offering six
memorable nights to sample China’s magnificent ancient civilization
in Beijing,
followed by a sensational dose of modern-day excitement in
Shanghai.
With a harmonious
mix of “East meets West”, each metropolis embodies its own
distinctive flavor of dynamic city life, fine cuisines and vivacious
entertainment.
In Beijing, you will have the opportunity to visit some of China’s legendary landmarks known to the world's distinguished travelers. Our tour includes visits to the
Forbidden City,
the imperial palace for the Ming and Qing
dynasties built in 1420; the Summer Palace, a grand imperial palace and a royal garden of the Qing Dynasty built in the sixteenth century;
Tian'anmen
Square, the largest city square in the world and a symbol of New
China; Temple of Heaven, the largest temple compound
and one of the most strictly protected and preserved cultural
heritages of China;
and of course, the magnificent Great
Wall of China, the symbol of Ancient Chinese civilization built two millenniums ago;
and the Ming Tombs, a group
of mausoleums of 13 Ming Emperors, their Empresses and Concubines.
While in Shanghai,
you will visit the most modern, yet historically significant
city in China.
It is an international shopping, gourmet and entertainment paradise that has
the world at your fingertips. Our tour includes excursions to
Shanghai's Old Town;
The Bund, an emblem of Shanghai,
with a riverfront promenade along the eastern side offering a captivating view of
the city's skyline; Yu
Yuan Garden, a “must-see" attraction of a majestic classical garden inspired
by the Ming and Qing Dynasties; and the Jade Buddha Temple,
the home of a mesmerizing jade statue of Sakyamuni from Myanmar.
